AllSaints- Not For Sale Range.

Are we naïve enough to think that our poorly and cheaply manufactured clothes have been produced in a fair working environment?  Or just a selfish society that cares more about our looks, than looking after other people on this earth who are being treated unfairly?  ‘Not For Sale’ is an organisation which aims to stop human trafficking and AllSaints have joined the campaign. AllSaints have produced a clothing range in association with this organisation and are putting profits towards the cause/promoting awareness.

Social media and the use of PR are a major contributing factor to how established a campaign becomes.  The ‘Not For Sale’ range was featured in both Wonderland and Six magazine in 2011, which helped boost publicity.  By featuring the clothing range on both the website and in the magazine, they managed to target a more diverse audience and advertised the range.  In both cases, it was a positive review in the form of a feature, as opposed to a feature promoting and endorsing prices of the products and selling the brand to us.

Adrienne from ‘Not For Sale’ said: ‘100% of the proceeds from the sale of the All Saints line have been able to be put towards these projects overseas through our online store. We have been able to engage businesses (such as All Saints) to assist with creating ethical supply chains that have a zero-tolerance policy towards human-trafficking’, when asked about the collaboration of the two prestigious names.
