THE DIY MISSION

I set myself a challenge.  I had so frequently spotted gorgeous tie dye/dip dye clothing within shops, but unfortunately could not afford the over priced garments.

So this is how I did it. I used the three simple items above- a black t-shirt, household bleach and a pair of scissors. Firstly, I used the bleach to whiten areas of the black t-shirt. I personally chose to create a swirly pattern, but this is of course down to personal preference.

The above image demonstrates the original state the t-shirt was in after the bleaching process.  Feeling the need to add even more creative development to the t-shirt, I then decided to create a 'shred' effect on the bottom of it.  This perfectly combined two t-shirt fashion trends that currently exist within the highstreet shops.

This is final t-shirt outcome, one that I was very happy with.  It was cheap and cheerful, one of the simplest fashion DIYs I think I have ever done!
